Born in 1995 he stands at 13.2hh and has 81/2
inches of bone. He breeds quality, temperament, movement, correctness and colour. This
versatile stallion has proved himself on countless occasions in the show ring, having had a
fantastic career both ridden and in hand. He has won over 60 classes and been supreme,
champion and reserve over 30 times between 1995 and 2000.
Bought initially as a driving pony we took
him along to a large local show in 1995 for a bit of fun, where he swept the board, and the
rest is history.
Commanche Ace was dual graded in 1996 with
CHAPS (UK) and BSPA and in 1999 received Showing Elite Status with both societies. He has
represented CHAPS (UK) twice at The Royal Show in 1997 and 1999, and was part of the CHAPS
(UK) team that travelled to Alsfield in Germany for an International Show.
He has qualified and gone to The Horse Of The
Year Show both in 1998 and 2000, and The Royal International in 2002. In May 2002 Ace was
invited to join a team of horses from both CHAPS (UK) and BSPA to celebrate the Queen’s Golden
Jubilee. All The Queens Horses was held at Royal Windsor and we feel very proud and privileged
to have been part of this historic and prestigious event.
In May 2005 at the age of 15 Ace returned to
the ring one last time and won his class at Royal Windsor Horse Show, proving that he has
stood the test of time.
Ace is now retired from the show ring and is
happily at stud, where he is available to a limited number of mares for natural covering and
for the first time this year we can now offer chilled semen from him. Commanche Ace is CEM and
EVA tested negative for 2009.
