Stud Fees and Terms

Frozen semen now available for export to Europe and USA through Pelion Stud.

Natural Covering: £350.00
Keep Fees: £5.00 per day grass livery
10.00 per day stabled and grass
AI Chilled/Fresh Semen: £350.00
Collection, postage and equitainer: £50.00 each shipment
AI Frozen Semen: £450.00 plus shipment charges

Terms for Natural Covering and Chilled/Fresh/Frozen Semen are NFFR (No Foal Free Return). Abbeywood Stud must be informed and have a veterinary certificate by 1st October should your mare not be in foal to qualify for a free return the following year. Should this be the case then the stud fee will not be charged the following year but keep and other associated costs will be, including collection, postage and equitainer charges for chilled semen. Frozen semen must be paid for in full before it will be shipped. Shipment of frozen semen is through Pelion Stud and all shipment/handling costs will be directly payable to them.

Natural Covering: The stud fee covers up to 3 attempts per stud season if necessary. All mares must be swabbed for CEM and tested for EVA prior to arrival at stud. Hind shoes must be removed and they must have up to date flu and tetanus vaccinations.

We work closely with The Bell Equine Clinic and in particular Julian Samuelson MA VetMB MRCVS from the clinic. Any extra help that your mare may require whilst at stud will be undertaken by The Bell Equine Clinic and any costs will be payable directly to them.
