Progeny of Commanche Ace have all done well in the their chosen careers. Here are just a few of his young stock, he also has a son, a grandson and granddaughter in America.

Abbeywood Stud Farm, Headcorn, Kent - Heiland Butterfly.

Heiland Butterfly, (photo above by kind permission of Colin Nicholas Photography) a 2007 show hunter pony filly by Ace out of a pba riding pony mare, has had a fantastic start to her career. At the CHAPS (UK) Championships 2008 she was awarded a 1st premium in the Youngstock Evaluations where she then went on to take the Championship. She also took reserve champion in the Hopgarden Stud Breeders challenge.

At the 2009 CHAPS (UK) Championships she again excelled herself gaining another 1st Premium in the youngstock evaluations bettering her last years score. She then took reserve champion in the Pferde Stud Sporthorse/Pony Youngstock Championship, and going one better than last year she was awarded champion in the Hopgarden Breeders Challenge Championship.

Chloe now belongs to the Bridgwater family and we wish them every success for their future with her.

Abbeywood Stud Farm, Headcorn, Kent - Heiland Esmeralda.

Heiland Esmeralda (photo above by kind permission of Fotograffs) 2005 filly by Ace out of a large native mare, won her class and was coloured champion at the British National Foal of the Year Show in 2005. Esme has now been broken to ride and drive and is proving to be a delight for her owner Tara Coppins.

Abbeywoods Colour Me In. 2010 black tobiano filly to make 14hh by Ace out of heavyweight traditional mare Molly. Moomin as she is known is a full sister to Oakleaves Magic Jeanie. Moomin was lightly shown in 2011 with some great results, 2nd Chaps Youngstock class at Hickstead Derby, 1st Chaps Youngstock and 1st TGCA Open at Great Chart and a very creditable 3rd in her youngstock final and the Breeders Challenge class at the CHAPS Championship show. She also gained a first premium with a very good percentage.

Abbeywood Stud Farm, Headcorn, Kent - Itsapache Pony.

Itsapache Pony (photo above by kind permission of Colin Nicholas Photography) 2008 filly by Ace out of Sec C mare Meg. This delightful filly was bred and is owned by Penny Richmond. She has had a great start to her showing career already, being 3rd in the CHAPS (UK) foal futurity final. One to watch in the future.

Itsy has just taken not only an In Hand Championship but also the Supreme In Hand Championship at the CHAPS (UK) South East Regional Show. An amazing achievement for a yearling.

Itsy had a good championship show, also gaining a 1st premium in the youngstock evaluations with a very good score.

Abbeywood Stud Farm, Headcorn, Kent - Oakleaves Magic Jeanie.

Oakleaves Magic Jeanie a 2008 filly by Ace out of a heavy weight traditional mare Molly. Owned and bred by Mischa Holroyd. This is a super little filly with a lovely presence about her. Her showing debut was at The British National Foal Of The Year Show 2008 where she held her own and came 2nd in a very strong class.

Abbeywood Stud Farm, Headcorn, Kent - Sherlock's Maybe.

Sherlock's Maybe It's Mabelline is a 2009 tobiano filly out of CHAPS (UK) and BSPA graded mare and prolific winner Come What May. This filly has blue blood indeed, out of 2 graded HOYS ponies, we think this striking foal has a wonderful future. She won her class of the foal futurity qualifiers at the CHAPS (UK) Championships and then went on to be a very close 2nd in the final. Tilly as she is better known is owned and was bred by Rebecca Lock.

Abbeywood Stud Farm, Headcorn, Kent - Mr Dooleyman.

Mr Dooleyman 2010 bay tobiano colt to make 14hh by Ace out of champion graded mare Razzle Roisin. Dooley won his section of the prestigious foal futurity classes at the CHAPS Championship show 2010. He then went on to take 3rd place overall in the final against some fantastic foals. This stunning boy looks sure to have a great future ahead of him. Dooley is owned and was bred by Mrs Sally Ede.

Abbeywoods Aphrodite. Commanche Ace x Windy City E. 2011 homozygous black tobiano filly to make 14.2hh. This lovely filly will be retained by the stud for showing and breeding in the future. At the 2011 CHAPS Championship show she won her foal class and then went on to be 2nd overall in the very prestigious foal futurity final. She also won the foal section of the Breeders Challenge class and took 2nd reserve champion against horses and ponies of all ages.
