Matchmakers Deep Reef (Maddie). Matchmaker x Derry Reef. 15hh 15 year old CHAPS (UK) graded mare. This mare has been with us for 8 years now and is currently on breeding loan to The Pferde Stud. She is a wonderful producer of foals, having given us 3 beautiful foals by Allbany, Harroway Mr Harlequin and Utah Van Erpekom. An extremely versatile mare that crosses well with both pony and horse stallions.

Maddie has produced an amazing black tobiano colt foal to Allbany this year for the Pferde Stud, he is a full brother to Heiland Burberry Check. Pferde Stud Matisse has just won the prestigious foal futurity final at the CHAPS (UK) Championship, a wonderful achievement. We are very proud of our mare and very happy for Darren and Karen of The Pferde Stud who thoroughly deserved that.

Heiland Burberry Check, (Sam). Allbany x Matchmakers Deep Reef. 16hh 7 year old gelding. Sam is a late starter due to injury back early 2008. We hope to get him out and about showing this year, he is currently competing at prelim level dressage and proving to be a easy horse with a lovely temperament. He had an extremely successful in hand career as a youngster being the CHAPS (UK) Championship Masta Youngstock Champion as a yearling and the Loose Jumping Champion as a 2 year old. He took the Brightwells Sporthorse/pony Championship at the BSPA Winter Championships as a 3 year old. He gained a 1st premium and went champion of the young stock evaluations as a 3 year old with CHAPS (UK) and later that year gained a first stage approval at the grading. We then made the decision to have him gelded to give both him and us an easier life.

2009 was again a hit and miss year for Sam as no sooner had we got a couple of shows under our belt a back injury forced me out of the saddle until recently. However with the very kind help of a good friend Sam was soon back out competing. Although lightly shown Sam qualified for both The Royal International Horse Show and the BSPA World of Colour Championships. Sam was a very creditable 3rd in his final at the champs and was 2nd in a 2010 rihs qualifier, qualifying for 2010. Roll on next year when we hope to get a full season of showing under our belts!

Abbeywoods Opium (Poppy). Heiland Tullulahtoo x Hollyland Faytino. 2009 bay tobiano filly to make 14.2hh. This wonderful filly has fantastic elevated paces and a very good hind action. She will be retained by us and we are excited to see what she will do in the future.

Poppy did us proud by not only winning her large coloured class at the 2009 British National Foal Of The Year Show, but she then went on to take the championship. This is the 4th time in the 5 years we have attended this show that one of our own homebred foals has taken the title!

Windy City E (Windy). Wind Dancer x Peppermint Peppy. 15hh 4 year old black tobiano German Warmblood Mare. We have just recently purchased this little lady and hope to both breed from her and show her in the future.

Windy has recently been scanned in foal for 2011 to Commanche Ace. We have also started to back her and she is proving an absolute delight. We also had the pleasure of qualifying her for the CHAPS (UK) Championships.

Little Miss Muffett. (Maguerita) Tonka Toy x Celeste. To make 13.2hh black tobiano traditional yearling filly. This super little filly was recently purchased from our good friend Jayne Purcell-White and was bred by Andrea Betteridge of Meadow Farm UK. She has fantastic blood lines in her pedigree with DNA verified parentage including Tonka and Lottery. She has also already qualified for the CHAPS (UK) Championships. We hope to show and breed from her with our own Commanche Ace in the future.

Abbeywoods Colour Me In (Moomin) Commanche Ace x Molly Mop. 2010 black tobiano traditional filly to make 14hh. This delightful filly kept us waiting before she appeared into the world 27th May! She is a full sister to Oakleaves Magic Jeanie and we hope to retain this filly as a future show horse and broodmare.
